In recent years, RMUTL has initiated various university policies to tackle issues concerning food insecurity such as supporting students’ projects in organic farming on campus to encourage sustainable food production and environmentally-friendly consumption. RMUTL promotes the “Stop Food Waste” policy as a means to reduce excessive food consumption and food waste on campus and also implement campus food waste tracking as a system to minimize food waste. In addition, RMUTL has created awareness about food value, hygienic food, and nutrition through food hygiene training workshops for students and university staff. Along with these, the “Bank of Goodwill” is provided to share food, water, life assets, and vegetable seeds for campus students and those who are in need.
