RMUTL Tak Promotes Equality and Inclusion through Participation in the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024

On 20 December 2024, at the Faculty of Engineering Building, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) Tak Campus, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tanongsak Yathalay, Director of the Office of Administration, represented the university at the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024, organized by the Tak Provincial Office of Social Development and Human Security. The event was officially opened by Mr. Suanit Suriyakul Na Ayutthaya, Deputy Governor of Tak Province, and attended by over 750 participants, including government officials, Red Cross members, persons with disabilities, caregivers, volunteers, private sector representatives, and community organizations.

The program featured a special video address by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra to mark the national observance, along with awards of distinction honoring outstanding persons with disabilities and institutions supporting inclusive development. Participants also enjoyed experience-sharing sessions from exemplary individuals with disabilities, special prize drawings, and exhibitions from partner agencies showcasing social-welfare initiatives, accessibility technologies, and inclusive community services.

By hosting and participating in this important event, RMUTL Tak reaffirmed its commitment to promoting equality, accessibility, and participation for all. The university provides a platform that connects academia, government, and civil society to support the empowerment of persons with disabilities, helping them access education, employment, and social opportunities on an equal basis.
