The Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), continues to play an essential role in advancing creative education and cultural sustainability through its participation in the International Arts, Design & Architecture Workshops and Exhibition (IADA) 2025. This year’s event, hosted by the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University (SSRU), took place under the theme “Contemporary Rattanakosin: Art, Innovation, Creativity to the World.” The initiative reflects the commitment of participating institutions to provide public access to art and creative learning experiences while fostering international collaboration in art, design, and architecture.

RMUTL’s continued participation highlights its dedication to integrating Lanna cultural wisdom with contemporary artistic practices. The university contributed a range of exhibitions, design workshops, and academic discussions that explored the relationship between traditional craftsmanship, regional identity, and modern innovation. These activities not only showcase the creativity of RMUTL’s faculty and students but also contribute to the enrichment of local arts through shared performances, cultural showcases, and creative exchanges with both domestic and international artists. By bringing together educators, practitioners, and learners, RMUTL helps strengthen the cultural network that supports ongoing artistic growth and creative development across regions.

Aligned with efforts to preserve cultural heritage and expand public engagement, RMUTL continues to record and reinterpret the richness of Lanna artistry—such as traditional patterns, materials, and storytelling—through digital archives and contemporary design applications. This work ensures that local knowledge and intangible traditions remain relevant in today’s creative landscape. The collaboration through IADA also promotes greater access to exhibitions and artistic events, encouraging communities to engage with art as part of everyday life. Through these initiatives, RMUTL reinforces its mission to connect education, culture, and innovation while supporting sustainable development through the arts.
