10–13 March 2026 – Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), through the Royal Initiative Project Working Group and the Community Technology Transfer Institute, conducted a field visit to the Le Tor Royal Project Development Center, Tak Province, to review ongoing development activities and jointly develop a collaborative action plan for 2026–2027 and a five-year development framework for 2028–2032. The initiative brought together RMUTL researchers and staff with the Center’s management and officers to strengthen academic partnerships for sustainable highland development.
The joint meetings provided a platform for cross-sectoral dialogue, stakeholder consultation, and knowledge exchange on key sustainability challenges and community needs. Participants reviewed highland agricultural development and discussed issues related to water and soil management, waste management, forest conservation, sustainable agriculture, local livelihoods, handicraft development, and appropriate technologies. Feedback and needs identified by the Center were incorporated into discussions on future cooperation and the application of university knowledge, technology, and innovation to improve agricultural productivity while reducing environmental impacts.
Through this collaborative planning process, RMUTL and its partners jointly identified approaches to strengthen food security, community resilience, sustainable livelihoods, environmental management, and quality of life in highland communities.
