22 August 2025 – Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) delivered a research-based bicolor sweet corn trimming machine to the Royal Project Foundation at Pang Da Royal Agricultural Station, Chiang Mai. Developed by RMUTL researchers, the innovation supports the Foundation’s mission to improve agricultural production and promote sustainable livelihoods for highland farmers by addressing challenges related to labor-intensive post-harvest processing.

Through this research collaboration with the Royal Project Foundation, RMUTL developed the machine to improve product quality, reduce processing time and labor requirements, and increase production efficiency. The project also included knowledge transfer and training for Royal Project staff on machine operation, enabling the research and technology to be applied in practice and creating knowledge that can be further transferred to other agricultural areas with similar needs.
