June 13, 2024 — Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) continues to demonstrate its leadership in sustainable development by initiating and participating in cross-sectoral dialogue about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). On June 10, 2024, representatives from the RMUTL SDGs Steering Committee, led by Associate Professor Dr. Pracha Yuenyongkul from the Faculty of Engineering, joined the Global Sustainable Development Congress 2024 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. The event was organized by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC) and involved collaboration between government bodies, nongovernment organizations (NGOs), academia, and the private sector.
Through interactive discussions, networking sessions, and practical workshops, RMUTL played an active role in building partnerships and sharing policy insights that contribute to Thailand’s implementation of the United Nations SDGs. The congress provided a platform for dialogue across sectors—bringing together experts from higher education, government agencies, and NGOs—to explore urgent sustainability challenges and co-develop strategies for tangible outcomes. RMUTL’s participation highlights its commitment to collaborative governance, evidence-based policymaking, and multi-stakeholder engagement in advancing national and regional sustainability agendas toward the 2030 goals.
