Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), Nan Campus, collaborated with the Nan Provincial Red Cross Chapter, the National Blood Service branch, and Nan Hospital to organize a community blood donation campaign on 17 July 2025.
The activity took place at the Agricultural Biotechnology Learning and Laboratory Building, bringing together students, faculty members, university staff, and members of the local community to support humanitarian healthcare services.
The event was attended by representatives of the Nan Provincial Red Cross Chapter, led by Mrs. Mueanjai Wongyai, together with medical personnel and university administrators. Participants were encouraged to contribute to the blood supply needed for patients receiving medical treatment in Nan and surrounding areas.
A total of 83 individuals participated in the blood donation campaign, contributing 29,050 millilitres of blood. In addition, seven individuals registered their intention to donate their eyes, while another seven expressed their intention to donate organs.
The activity was organized as part of a wider humanitarian campaign celebrating the 70th birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Recognition was also given to first-time and regular blood donors for their contributions to society.
Beyond supporting healthcare services, the programme provided RMUTL students with opportunities to participate in community service and develop a stronger awareness of social responsibility.
Through its collaboration with the Thai Red Cross humanitarian network, RMUTL continues to promote student volunteering programmes and partnerships that contribute to community health, well-being, and sustainable development.
