February 21, 2025 — Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) is actively participating in international collaboration on gathering and measuring data for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through its involvement in the “Learning for Sustainable Future – Higher Education for Green Transition in Southeast Asia (GreenEdAsia)” project. Officially launched on February 17–21, 2025, and led by Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE), this initiative unites partner institutions from Vietnam, Finland, Spain, and Thailand—including RMUTL, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), Dong Thap University, Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK), and the University of Burgos (UBU)—under the ERASMUS+ program funded by the European Union, with a total budget of €800,000.
As part of GreenEdAsia, RMUTL contributes to collecting, analyzing, and sharing sustainability-related data between Thailand and Vietnam to support the development of evidence-based strategies for higher education’s role in achieving the United Nations SDGs. The collaboration focuses on green education, sustainable innovation, and environmental data integration within academic programs, aligning educational reform with measurable sustainability indicators. By engaging in international data gathering and monitoring activities, RMUTL not only strengthens its institutional capacity for SDG reporting but also fosters regional cooperation in sustainable development research and policymaking. This partnership reinforces RMUTL’s commitment to advancing data-driven decision-making for sustainable higher education transformation across Southeast Asia.
