Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), Tak Campus, joined six partner organizations in signing a Memorandum of Understanding on 6 November 2025 to support a literacy tutoring initiative aimed at improving educational opportunities for children and young people in Tak Province.

The agreement was signed by Assistant Professor Dr. Thanongsak Yathale, Director of the RMUTL Tak Administrative Office, together with representatives from participating organizations, including the Tak Provincial Red Cross Chapter, the Tak Provincial Learning Promotion Office, the Tak Provincial Education Office, the Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council, and the World Vision Foundation of Thailand.

The collaboration responds to educational challenges in Tak Province, where geographical and socioeconomic conditions can limit access to educational services, particularly for vulnerable children and those at risk of leaving the education system.

The initiative focuses on supporting specialized literacy tutors, strengthening teacher capabilities, and improving approaches to foundational reading and writing education.

A central component of the cooperation is the development of teaching knowledge and instructional capacity to help educators deliver learning activities suited to local needs.

By bringing together educational institutions, government agencies, and nonprofit development organizations, the partnership seeks to establish a more coordinated approach to addressing literacy challenges.

RMUTL’s collaboration with the World Vision Foundation supports the development of educational knowledge and teaching resources, while strengthening the capacity of educators to provide more inclusive and effective learning opportunities.

The partnership highlights the role of university–NGO cooperation in addressing educational inequality and expanding access to quality learning for vulnerable communities.
