In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG 16): Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, the Institute of Technology Transfer to the Community (ITTC) at Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) has officially announced its “No Gift Policy” to promote transparency, integrity, and ethical conduct in public service.

Commitment to Ethical Governance

On January 27, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Worajak Muangjai, Director of the Institute, together with the management team and staff, formally declared their commitment to the No Gift Policy.
This initiative marks a significant step in reinforcing an ethical culture across the institution — ensuring that all personnel refrain from giving or receiving gifts or benefits in the course of their official duties, whether before, during, or after work-related interactions.

The policy aims to prevent conflicts of interest that may lead to corruption or misconduct, in strict accordance with the Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna Regulation on Good Governance and Ethics B.E. 2567 (2024).

Promoting Transparency and Accountability

This declaration aligns with the institute’s continuous efforts under the Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) framework, which evaluates and promotes ethical governance among public institutions in Thailand.
Through this policy, RMUTL’s ITTC seeks to strengthen awareness of anti-corruption laws and to cultivate a work culture based on honesty, responsibility, and integrity.

“The No Gift Policy helps build a transparent organizational culture and fosters trust and confidence among all stakeholders,”
said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Worajak Muangjai, emphasizing the institute’s commitment to elevating ethical standards and good governance practices within the university.

Advancing SDG 16 Through Institutional Ethics

By implementing this policy, RMUTL contributes directly to achieving SDG 16, which promotes just, peaceful, and inclusive societies through strong and accountable institutions.
The initiative underscores the university’s dedication to operating with fairness, transparency, and moral integrity — core principles essential to sustainable development.
