RMUTL Phitsanulok Launches Agricultural Market to Promote Safe Products from the University and Local Communities

On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, the Faculty of Science and Agricultural Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), Phitsanulok Campus, officially launched the “RMUTL Phitsanulok Agricultural Market” in front of the Safe Agriculture Expertise Laboratory Building. Assistant Professor Dr. Piyamat Tatchcharoenrat, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Agricultural Technology, presided over the opening ceremony.
The market provides a platform for students, lecturers, and local farmers to sell quality agricultural products, emphasizing fresh produce from verified sources and products meeting Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) standards. Offerings include pesticide-safe vegetables, eggs from the university’s learning farm, seasonal fruits, ornamental plants, and processed products developed through research and student practical training.

The opening day attracted university personnel, students, and members of the public. Agricultural exhibits and demonstrations, including mushroom cultivation, greenhouse vegetable production, and agricultural product processing, were also featured to share knowledge with the community.
The market will operate every Wednesday to expand marketing opportunities for farmers, provide practical learning experiences for students, and improve local access to safe food.
RMUTL’s C-FI Drives the Local Economy Through “Taste & Shop” Sustainable Food Innovation

The Center of Excellence in Food Innovation for Entrepreneurs (C-FI) at Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) organized the “Taste & Shop” event on February 14–15, 2026, at Central Phitsanulok. The event was part of a project focused on improving water efficiency and management to mitigate drought while sustainably adding value to agricultural products.
The event provided network entrepreneurs with opportunities to test-market products developed through C-FI’s food processing innovations. Visitors could sample products and provide feedback to help improve product quality and meet market demands.
Ten innovative processed food products were showcased, including spicy shredded pork chili paste, mala rice crackers, holy basil rice crackers, Wolffia-globosa cookies, Northeastern-style fermented pork sausage with sticky rice, collagen fruit gummies, pumpkin krayasat (a traditional Thai sweet), dried guava with chili and salt, instant banana powder, and kluai khai banana Chinese sausage.

Through this initiative, RMUTL aims to strengthen the local economy by transforming agricultural produce into higher-value products, supporting community entrepreneurs, and creating opportunities to expand into wider markets, including international markets.
