RMUTL has established structured processes to identify, monitor, and reduce energy wastage across its campuses. These processes are formalized through institutional committees, regular inspections, and periodic energy-performance reviews.
At the Chiang Rai Campus, formal orders issued on February 27, 2024, appointed both (1) an Energy Conservation Committee and (2) an Energy-Management Audit and Inspection Committee responsible for overseeing energy use across university facilities. The committees convened review and monitoring meetings on February 28, 2024, and again on December 25–26, 2024, to assess operational performance, analyze deficiencies, and establish new measures for the following year. These continuous review cycles ensure that energy inefficiencies are promptly identified and corrective actions are implemented.
Complementing these administrative mechanisms, the Chiang Rai Resource Administration and Services Division performs routine technical assessments—including energy-efficiency checks of electrical systems, potential evaluations, and cost-effectiveness proposals—to further refine campus energy conservation strategies.
At the Lampang Campus, the Building Maintenance Division, Office of Physical Resources Development, conducted a comprehensive inspection of on-campus buildings on January 5, 2024. The team surveyed classrooms and administrative offices across all facilities to inspect and maintain air-conditioning systems, ensuring the proper operation of compressors, cleaning of air filters, and general system maintenance. These preventive actions were specifically aimed at reducing unnecessary energy loss and improving operational efficiency. This systematic maintenance not only prevents equipment degradation but also minimizes wasted energy from underperforming systems.
Together, these initiatives reflect RMUTL’s ongoing commitment to monitoring, identifying, and reducing energy wastage across all campuses, ensuring both administrative oversight and technical efficiency within its energy management framework.
