On June 20,2023 Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna Nan (RMUTL Nan) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with seven networks and 18 organizations to promote sustainable happiness in Nan Province. The agreement focused on fostering collaboration between temples, communities, schools, and government sectors to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through self-reliance and mutual support tailored to local needs. The initiative included representatives from various sectors, including the government, academia, religion, civil society, private sector, and media, with the Governor of Nan and the Provincial Sangha Leader co-chairing the event. This cross-sectoral partnership aims to integrate local wisdom with sustainable development principles to enhance the quality of life in Nan.
RMUTL Nan actively participates in cross-sectoral dialogue about the SDGs by involving multiple stakeholders in discussions and initiatives that address sustainable development at the local level. The MoU and the involvement of different sectors demonstrate the university’s role in facilitating dialogue, setting policy agendas, and coordinating efforts among diverse groups to advance the SDGs. This collaboration exemplifies RMUTL Nan’s commitment to driving meaningful progress through partnerships that encompass government, religious institutions, communities, and other societal actors.
