“RMUTL Strengthens Sustainable Community Learning through Off-Campus Education Initiatives”
From highland villages to local schools, RMUTL extends hands-on learning and innovation to empower communities toward sustainable growth.

RMUTL remains dedicated to advancing sustainable community development through educational outreach activities beyond its campuses.
Through collaborations among university faculties, institutes, and external organizations, RMUTL implements knowledge transfer, hands-on training, and community-based learning initiatives that empower farmers, youth, entrepreneurs, and marginalized groups.

These projects strongly align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — including Goals 1 (No Poverty), 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 4 (Quality Education), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).

Entrepreneurial Skills Development for Longan Farmers
RMUTL’s ICTT organized an entrepreneurship training for longan farmers to enhance market competitiveness. Participants learned digital marketing and product value creation using technology and innovation. The program empowered farmers to become self-sustaining entrepreneurs. It fostered creative economic growth and improved agricultural productivity.

Training for Modern Agricultural Entrepreneurs
In collaboration with SEED Thailand and King Prajadhipok’s Institute Foundation, this workshop empowered modern farmers. It provided analytical insights into longan markets and strategies for online sales. The training emphasized innovation and sustainable business growth in agriculture. Farmers learned to use technology to increase productivity and revenue.

Wire Mesh Screen Workshop – Kae Noi Royal Project Center
ICTT experts provided practical training to villagers and youth on producing and installing wire mesh screens. This skill development reduced mosquito-borne disease risks and improved local hygiene. The training emphasized health promotion and sustainable livelihoods. Participants gained a new income-generating skill.

Wire Mesh Screen Workshop – Nong Khiew Royal Project Center
RMUTL’s outreach program trained highland villagers in making and repairing wire screens. It enhanced community resilience and health protection from vector-borne diseases. The hands-on learning model empowered participants with practical trade skills. It also promoted environmental well-being through better living conditions.


IoT for Smart Greenhouse Training (Gig Worker Development Program)
RMUTL collaborated with Skill Development Institute 19 to train independent workers. The course introduced IoT applications for smart agriculture and solar-powered systems. Participants gained skills in automation and renewable energy for productivity improvement. The program supported career mobility and higher income opportunities.



Enhancing Communication Skills in Youngsters
RMUTL’s English for International Communication program conducted English workshops for primary students. Students created engaging English learning media suitable for children’s needs. University students practiced teaching and community engagement. The project strengthened academic collaboration among teachers, students, and schools.

English for Creative Tourism Entrepreneurs
Tourism and Hospitality Management students conducted English training for local tourism operators. Participants practiced real-life English communication used in creative tourism. The activity improved local entrepreneurs’ confidence in interacting with international visitors. It also strengthened students’ applied language and cultural skills. This initiative advanced SDGs 8 and 11 by promoting sustainable tourism and local growth.

Promoting Entrepreneurial and Innovation Skills with Local Enterprises
Business Management students collaborated with local enterprises in Mae Sa Noi to share business innovation knowledge. Workshops focused on technology, innovation management, and business strategy. The project enhanced cooperation between academia and local enterprises.
Students integrated academic learning into real-world business contexts. It supported SDGs 4, 8, and 9 through entrepreneurship and innovation capacity building.
