The university has a Faculty and Staff Council that functions similarly to a labor union. Representatives from the faculty and staff are appointed to drive initiatives, and these representatives are elected by all university personnel from six campuses (Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Nan, Tak, and Phitsanulok). Their role is to represent all employees at the university.
The Faculty Council’s mission is to serve as a central platform for exchanging views within the university community, propose constructive approaches for systematic university development, protect the interests of the university, and uphold ethical standards. The council also advocates for job security and improved quality of life for university personnel, promotes professional development, and fosters collaboration both internally and externally to creatively advance the university. Additionally, these representatives act as a channel for receiving feedback, suggestions, and information from employees.
