The university has a policy against forced labor, modern slavery, human trafficking, and child labor. It maintains personnel management policies that outline the qualifications for employees in higher education, requiring that they meet general qualifications and have no disqualifying characteristics as specified in the regulations of Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna on personnel management for employees in higher education, established in 2010. This aligns with efforts to combat forced labor, modern slavery, human trafficking, and child labor.

According to Article 13 (a), employees must be at least eighteen years old and not older than sixty years. They must not be legally incompetent or morally unfit. Article 17 mandates that recruitment and selection of individuals for employment in higher education institutions must undergo a competitive examination or selection process, as determined by the committee, ensuring a systematic, standardized, and transparent screening of candidates for university positions.

Additionally, the university requires that new employees undergo fingerprint checks to verify criminal history, as stated in Article 13 (7) of Section 3 concerning employees in higher education. A clear employment contract must be signed by both the employer and the employee before commencing work.

The university also has an announcement regarding working hours, leave policies, payment, and position allowances during employee leave, established in 2016. This outlines specific working hours as detailed in Section 1, General Provisions, Article 6, stating that work begins at 8:30 AM and ends at 4:30 PM, with a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The weekly days off are Saturday and Sunday, along with public holidays and annual holidays as declared by the authorities.

Furthermore, Section 2, Article 14 allows personnel to take leave for nine different reasons, including sick leave, maternity leave, leave to assist a spouse with childbirth, personal leave, vacation leave, leave for ordination or pilgrimage, leave for military service, leave for professional development, and leave for rehabilitation of work capacity.
