6–10 October 2025 – The RMUTL GreenEdAsia team from Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) participated in the GreenEdAsia Teacher Training Week under the Erasmus+ project “Learning for Sustainable Future: Higher Education for Green Transition in Southeast Asia” at Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK), Hämeenlinna, Finland.
The programme brought together academic staff and GreenEdAsia partners from Thailand, Vietnam, and Finland, including RMUTL, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE), Dong Thap University (DThU), and HAMK. The international collaboration provided a platform for participants to exchange knowledge, review different educational approaches, and learn international best practices for sustainability and green transition in higher education.
Throughout the training, participants explored and compared innovative teaching and learning approaches, including Problem-Based Learning, Transdisciplinary Learning, DIANA, Student-Centered Teaching, Design-Based Learning and Design-Based Education. They also studied sustainability-related practices in SmartBio, SmartBuilt, SmartEdu, Circular Economy, biochar carbon removal, and smart agricultural technology.
Hands-on workshops enabled participants to apply educational design tools such as the Inno Competence Flower, Empathy Map, and Crazy Eight, exchange experiences across participating universities, and develop prototype learning activities. The programme concluded with a review of lessons learned and joint planning for the next phase of GreenEdAsia.
Through this international collaboration, RMUTL and its partners are sharing and comparing approaches to sustainable education and developing good practices that can be adapted across different higher education contexts. The initiative strengthens international knowledge exchange and supports the integration of sustainability into future teaching and learning.
